Trans Nzoia - Saboti Member of Parliament Caleb Amisi has castigated Speaker Moses Wetang'ula and Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi ahead of the 2027 General Election.

Amisi questions Farouk Kibet's fundraisings in Western Kenya

In a tweet on Sunday, May 25, Amisi wondered why Wetang'ula and Mudavadi have let President William's personal aide, Farouk Kibet, take centre stage in Western Kenya.

According to Amisi, key Western Kenyan leaders have been reduced to observers as Kibet takes charge of all fundraising activities in the region.

The outspoken Saboti lawmaker suggested that Kibet's alleged 'deep pocket' could be the reason the likes of Mudavadi are playing second fiddle.

"A private PA without a public portfolio is the chief guest in all Western Region harambees. Leaving our very own Wycliffe Oparanya, Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula, ministers on an international observer mission; the senator and governor as escorts and MPs as eyewitnesses. Ostensibly because he carries more money stolen or otherwise," Amisi said.

Amisi argued that key leaders from the region have made Western Kenya appear desperate and voiceless, something he said will end soon.

The vocal lawmaker argued that despite the frequent visits by Kibet, the president will not get votes in the region in the upcoming 2027 General Election.

"This point to the sorry state of the western region as a whole; a disfranchised, desperate, destitute, voiceless and penniless region. This shall come to pass.
"Western is going to chew the money mercilessly, but wakati wa kura, only black smoke will be seen bellowing towards Sugoi," he stated.
