Competitions Authority of Kenya advertises job vacancies and one-year internship

The Competition Authority of Kenya (CAK) has announced new career opportunities including a one-year internship program for university graduates.

In a notice shared on MyGov, the statutory agency invited applications from suitably qualified, experienced, and motivated individuals to fill five job vacancies across key departments.

Job vacancies at CAK

The available positions include:

  • Internal Auditor (Job Ref: CAK/01.05.2025)
  • Legal Officer (Job Ref: CAK/02.05.2025)
  • Analyst, Mergers and Acquisitions (Job Ref: CAK/03.05.2025)
  • Analyst, Planning, Policy and Research (Job Ref: CAK/04.05.2025)
  • Assistant Knowledge Management Officer (Job Ref: CAK/05.05.2025)

Each of these positions has one opening, and applicants are required to demonstrate professional competence and integrity, with a strong understanding of their respective fields.

Internship opportunities at CAK

In addition, CAK is offering a Graduate Internship Programme to recent university graduates.

The programme, which will run for one year, is designed to provide hands-on experience in a professional work environment.

The Authority is recruiting interns in the following functional areas:

  • Consumer Protection (Job Ref: CAK/06.05.2025)
  • Risk and Quality Assurance (Job Ref: CAK/07.05.2025)
  • Finance (Job Ref: CAK/08.05.2025)
  • Human Resource and Administration (Job Ref: CAK/09.05.2025)
  • Legal Services (Job Ref: CAK/10.05.2025)

Each internship slot has one position available.

Interested candidates are advised to visit www.cak.go.ke to access detailed job descriptions and application requirements.

“All applications must be submitted by 26th May, 2025 at 1700hrs. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted,” the agency stated, warning that canvassing of any form will lead to automatic disqualification.

The authority has emphasised its commitment to diversity and inclusion, encouraging persons with disabilities and individuals from marginalized communities to apply.
