The National Social Security Fund (NSSF) has invited applications for its 2025 internship programme.
How to apply for the NSSF internship programme
In an advert on its website, NSSF asked diploma and bachelor's degree graduates to submit their academic and professional certificates.
The Kenyan government agency noted that graduates should apply for the one-year programme online on or before Monday, May 19.
"Candidates should submit their applications online using this application link to create and complete their profile, then upload the following documents: Copy of degree/diploma certificate, application letter, CV, ID copy and the recommendation/reference letter. All applications must be submitted online on or before the close of business on Monday, May 19," it stated.
NSSF said successful candidates will gain practical experience/on the job training.
"This is in line with the government's youth initiative to develop a pool of young talent for the Kenyan labour market."
What are the requirements for applicants?
- Possess a first degree or diploma from an accredited institution. The applicant must present the certificate showing he/she has graduated.
- Applicants must be young, unemployed Kenyan individuals between the ages of 20 and 34.
- The candidate must have graduated within the last four years.
- Applicants must issue a letter of recommendation or reference from the institution where they graduated.
- Candidates must not have participated in any other internship programmes or gained any work experience after graduation.
- Be available for the full year of the internship.
"Their duties and responsibilities shall be assigned by the respective heads of department or supervisors upon appointment," NSSF explained.
What personal attributes should candidates have?
- Be a person of high integrity.
- Be goal-oriented, dynamic, self-driven and diligent.
- Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Be proficient in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) skills.
- Be a team player.
NSSF clarified that it would not guarantee employment for interns after the completion of the internship programme.
The agency noted it's an equal opportunity employer, and therefore urged persons living with disabilities and candidates from marginalised communities to apply for the initiative.
Which other organisations advertised vacancies?
In related news, the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) invited applications from eligible students and recent graduates for its 2025 internship programme.
CBK noted that graduates in the fields of finance, research, banking and payment services, communications, and human resources should apply.
The banking regulator encouraged interested and qualified individuals to apply by May 16, 2025.
Elsewhere, the Kenya Development Corporation advertised job openings for professionals, while the Kenyan Institute of Prime Research (KIPRE) advertised 20 open positions in diverse fields.
