Robert Ajwang, popularly known as Money Bior, has officially kicked off his campaign in Kasipul in his attempt to replace slain MP Ong'ondo Were.
Were's death has brought many faces to the limelight who all hope to take up the mantle and lead the constituents of Kasipul.
Money Bior goes after Kasipul residents' votes
Bior is among the constituents who have publicly come out to declare their interest in the seat, but as an independent candidate.
Bior, who is known for his flashy lifestyle, shared a video on his TikTok page handing out notes to residents who had lined up to see him.
The video starts wth him addressing a group of young men before asking them to line up so each can get the cash.
Another line had women, some carrying children who stretched their arms to receive the handouts before walking away.
While this kind of campaign is very popular in most parts of Nyanza, many have criticised it for enabling ba leadership created by 'bought' votes.
"A new dawn for Kasipul begins here. Together, we build, we grow and we lead," he captioned on his TikTok page.

ODM Party wants Raila to endorse Were's son
In another report, during Were's burial, a majority of ODM Party members asked veteran politician Raila Odinga to consider endorsing the slain MP's son.
Many noted that Boyd, who is Were's second son, had all it takes to continue with his father's mantle.
He also wowed mourners who had gathered at their home for the send-off of their dad and demanded justice.
There was a light moment when Lamu woman representative also asked Raila to send Were's son to parliament so she can get a husband.
As the battle to take up the mantle continues, Kasipul residents are torn between whom to pick as the different leaders have strong roots with the constituents.
